One of Osaka’s most well-known sites, Osaka Castle Japan, exhibits the quintessence of Japanese architecture and culture.
On my trip to Osaka, I went to this castle and had a terrific time touring it.

On Japan’s Osaka Castle:
In 1583, Osaka Castle was erected on the site of the former Ishiyama Honganji Temple. The biggest castle in the land of cherry blossoms at the time was Osaka Castle.
The Tokugawa forces, however, demolished the castle. The main tower was destroyed by lightning in 1665, but Lord Tokugawa Hidetada rebuilt it in 1620.
Osaka Castle underwent numerous renovations as well. The castle’s interior is currently highly contemporary, while the exterior architecture is still in the classic design.

The price to enter Osaka Castle:
Osaka Castle Keep entry is 600 Yen for adults and free for children under the age of twelve.
When you purchase Osaka Castle tickets online, you can avoid standing in line to receive real tickets. It is simple and practical. You only need to provide the mobile voucher to gain access.
Osaka Castle is open from 9 am to 5 pm, with the last admittance time being at 16:30.
However, during Golden Week, the summer vacations, and the cherry blossom season, the visitation period will be extended.
From December 28 to January 1, the castle is closed.
In Osaka, where should I stay?
If you want to take day trips to nearby cities like Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe, I advise staying close to the Osaka station or Osaka-Namba station for lodging in Osaka.
Stay Osaka is a fantastic low-cost hotel where I stayed.
Because it is close to the stations, the location is quite convenient. A 10-minute walk will get you to Kuromon Market, and three minutes will bring you to the Dtonbori entertainment zone.
The accommodation was tidy and clean, and the staff was pleasant.
How is Osaka Castle reached?
The two simplest ways to travel to Osaka Castle are from Tanimachi Yonchome station or Osaka station.
To make travel simpler, I advise purchasing a YOKOSO! Osaka ticket or an ICOCA card.
YOKOSO! A day’s worth of unlimited rides on the Osaka Municipal Subway, New Tram, and bus are included with the Osaka ticket. In addition, 32 tourist attractions in Osaka provide discounts.
Beginning At Osaka Station:
You can take a train to Osakajokoen Station, the Osaka Loop Line’s final station, and walk from there to reach Osaka Castle.
The ticket costs 160 Yen and the journey takes roughly 10 minutes.
Visiting The Osaka Castle Tower:
Another option is to travel to Tanimachi Yonchome station, which is conveniently located close to Osaka Castle’s main entrance.
Additionally, the Osaka History Museum, another of Osaka’s tourism attractions, is not far from Tanimachi Yonchome Station.
Attractions & Activities in Osaka Castle:
1.Castle Park in Osaka
I made my way to Osaka Castle Park after leaving Osaka jokoen Station.
One of the prettiest parks I’ve visited is Osaka Castle Park. This park is enormous and has a variety of locations, including the Osaka History Museum, Nishinomaru Garden, and Castle Keep.
I went to Osaka Castle as directed. The trek to the wall took roughly fifteen minutes. I could see the pond and the wall enclosing the castle as I traveled.
2.The Sakura-mon Gate
I arrived at the Sakura-mon Gate at last. This is the main entrance for guests to enter the area inside Osaka Castle, which is situated in the southern region.
On the day I went, there was a lot of traffic, but everyone was in line, so getting inside the castle was quick.
After that, I walked about and shot numerous pictures. I got ice cream, sat down, and enjoyed people-watching because it was a good temperature and there were lots of shaded areas.
3.The Keep of Osaka Castle
With numerous people attempting to take pictures in front of it, the Castle Keep was the spot that was busiest. I snapped a few photos before buying a ticket and entering.
Historical records from the time of Osaka Castle’s builder, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, are displayed on the first through seventh floors of the building.
I discovered the model for rebuilding the castle here. The fight scene was reenacted using armor, swords, and tiny figures as weapons.

4.The Miraiza Shopping Center
The Miraiza shopping center is situated close to Osaka Castle. The staff is dressed as ninjas because the mall has a ninja motif.
5.Nishinomaru Garden
It’s wonderful to take in the distant beauty of Osaka Castle from Nishinomaru Garden.
It is also a well-known location for seeing cherry blossoms, featuring over 300 cherry trees and other flowers.
6.Osaka History Museum
Don’t forget to visit the Osaka History Museum if you enjoy history. In this situation, the combo ticket (900 Yen) will be helpful.
Tips:
Since there is typically a long line for the elevators, you should take the elevator to the eighth floor and then slowly descend, stopping at each level.
